The Company

Funwest Sports is Calgary’s only full service recumbent specialist. I specialize in high quality adult and youth recumbent trikes, and electric  conversions. Located in North East Calgary, I’m licensed by the City to operate as a residential dealer premise.  With five brands and up to 14 models on display, I offer the largest selection in Alberta to choose from.

I am pleased to say that Funwest Sports is a recognized vendor for the Provincial Government.  And I have also worked with War Amps, the Tetra Society, and the Rotary club.

 Because my product line is specialized and customer requirements are often unique, I concentrate on personalized customer service. I prefer to work one on one with all customers to ensure a proper fit and an enjoyable test ride.

I encourage everybody to set aside the necessary time for a proper evaluation rather than a quick spin around the block. A bike pathway is close by and makes for a nice place to ride away from traffic.

Available by appointment. Please call or email ahead of time to set up a time for a demo. But not on Sundays and Mondays ~ gone riding!

The People

Funwest Sports is owned and operated by me Rob Willis. We have a Social Media Coordinator , an Internet Marketing Specialist, a Website Design Technician, a full time bike mechanic, an administrative assistant  and a dedicated customer service department. OK, it’s just some of the many hats I wear, but it sounds impressive.

I have a strong mechanical background (Licensed Red Seal Journeyman Automotive Technician) and have over three decades experience in customer service. My technical / electrical background allows me to offer services that go well beyond the average trike shop. I’ve been an active cyclist almost all of my life, riding and maintaining all sorts of bikes.  I enjoy triking so much that I decided to start my own company in order to introduce others to this highly addictive form of riding. I am proud to say that Funwest Sports is Calgary’s only full service recumbent trike store!
