Revolution MMA & Fitness is the vision of its Owner and Chief Instructor, Joel Gerson. Joel’s concept for Rev MMA is based on his 30 years in mixed martial arts and fitness conditioning for adults and children. Established in 2006, Revolution was Toronto’s first dedicated MMA and fitness facility. In 2012, after over 20 years of Ranny Tal running his own successful martial arts clubs, elite military training and building champions, he joined our Thornhill location and immediately proved himself to be a major asset, becoming Thornhill’s Head Instructor while leading kids mma, adult boxing, kickboxing and of course, Krav Maga. In 2017 Joel and Ranny partnered up and expanded the facility to our new 12,000 square foot facility in Vaughan.

Since that time we have managed to create a lot of buzz–having been featured in The Globe and Mail (twice), the front page of The Toronto Sun (twice), Toronto Life Magazine (Best of 2009 issue), The National Post (twice), The Toronto Star, The National News (CBC), Global News (three times this year), and The Fight Network (many times), as well as many others leading media outlets. Rev MMA was recently voted the #1 Gym in North York by Post City Magazines, besting both larger chain fitness facilities as well as smaller boutique-style gyms.
