It all started …

in a small rural community situated 45 minutes North of Calgary, Alberta Canada where founder and curator Spencer Schmick was born.  He liked stuff at a very young age, like many of us.  In his teen years he decided Architecture and stuff were his thing.  But Spencer wasn’t so good at math, (still isn’t), and so a slight compromise had to be made. Interior Design became his calling rather than Architecture. Since obtaining his accreditation, (a long, long time ago), he’s found himself part of the interior design community as well as the home building industry, retail sector, and in the wholesale industry – all of which have been associated with different types of lifestyle products. 

Spencer always wanted to have a storefront that was personally sourced and curated and held fast to a well-honed aesthetic.  The product found at Stuff has been chosen for its quality, appearance, and price point, since getting value for your dollar is important. Local artists, artisans, and manufacturers who pride themselves on producing quality products are also featured in the store. The world-wide search to bring cool stuff to you, the consumer, is constant.  It is also a task Spencer is always up for.

Stuff operates on the principle that brick and mortal stores are still where all the good stuff can be found.  The belief that the experience of purchasing something is more than just typing in your payment type online, but enjoying the entire process of finding those special items to take home with you, or to give to someone else.  Because of this belief, we hope you will come visit and enjoy the stuff at Stuff.
